I decided to put this up because it actually looks rather nice and could dilute the concentration of magical girls taking up the first page of my gallery.

This character is a rather strange one, I came across him in a dream! I was rather depressed at the time and I wandered off on my own in the dream badlands. This started getting weird and psychedelic almost, so I knew I was in the weird part of my imagination.

Somewhere along the line I encountered this fellow, and when I was half awake but felt compelled to jot his image as fast as possible.

He/She was really cool looking but very intimidating. His stature was tall, but thin, and he was transparent towards the bottom and seem like he could just glide across the floor like a phantom. He/She seem almost irritated to see me in-dream, like it was silently telling me I wasn't supposed to be there and I was interrupting his star-gazing. o.o; (I ran off after that)

I didn't see him again in my sleep, but I liked him enough to try to keep him around so I drew him again and refined his image based on what I remembered and the haphazard scrawl I did the first time.

It took some time but I decided to just call him "The Astronomer" because it seemed like he did that sort of thing. No real name for him yet. 8v

I think I'm going to keep him around and stick him in one of my stories. He's a really cool character that I'd like to use.

Well, he is your dream OC, so you should design him any which way you want. ;) (Maybe I'll refer to The Astronomer as gender less, because now I'm getting confused. XD

I don't gender matters for this particular character but I'm leaning towards "he".

A 'he' seems more suiting now that you mention it. Being so mysterious and all, and he appears taller in stature.

How curious. I do so enjoy my dreams giving me a creative boost rather than garbled messes that make no damned sense. This guy is interesting and I just gotta commend you on that mask design. It's awesome!
